Plan Your Social Posts

Ten channels that all work the same way - plan a month of posts, or bulk-add them from a spreadsheet.

1:02

What this covers

Ten social channels — Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Business, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and Reddit — and one way of working across all of them.

This guide covers building a social Campaign, loading a month of posts from a spreadsheet in one step, and the Content Calendar that shows everything you have planned.

Every channel is the same page

This is the useful thing to know first. Each channel has exactly two pages:

Accounts — where you connect the account you post from.

Campaigns — where you plan what goes out.

The forms are identical from one channel to the next. Learn Facebook and you have learned Reddit.

Step by step

1. Pick a channel and open its Campaigns page

Campaign Management › Social Campaigns, then the channel. The list shows each Campaign with its account, its post count and whether it is active.

2. Add a Campaign and name it

Something that describes the run — “Daily posts, autumn” rather than “Campaign 1”.

3. Choose an account, or do not

The account dropdown offers No account (link later), and that is a supported choice rather than an error. You can plan an entire Campaign, write every post and set every date before you connect anything.

Connecting the account is what turns a plan into posting, and it can happen afterwards.

4. Add posts one at a time…

Add Scheduled Post gives you a post with a date and a time. Fine for a handful.

5. …or load them all from a spreadsheet

This is the part worth the video. Under Or Bulk-Add Posts from Excel: Download Template, fill in the columns — Post Text, Schedule Date, Schedule Time, Active — and upload it.

Create Campaign & Import Posts builds the Campaign and every scheduled post in one step. A month of content in a single upload, written wherever you write best.

6. Check the Content Calendar

Social Campaigns › Content Calendar shows everything you have planned, across every channel, on one month view. The buttons along the top filter it to a single channel, each with a count.

An empty calendar simply means nothing is scheduled yet — your posts appear here as you add them.

Tips and best practices

Write in a spreadsheet, not in the form. Drafting thirty posts is a writing job, and a spreadsheet is a better place to do it than thirty web forms.

Plan a month at a time. The whole value of scheduling is that the thinking happens once.

Use the calendar to spot gaps. Four posts on Tuesday and nothing for ten days is obvious there and invisible in a list.

Do not post the same thing everywhere. The channels are identical to operate and completely different to read.

Name Campaigns by run, not by channel. You already know the channel from where the Campaign lives.

What this connects to

Social is the one part of Campaign Management that does not draw on your database — it speaks to an audience you do not own yet, which is what makes it a companion to the Campaigns that do.

If you would rather not write the posts yourself, Claude can draft them straight into your queue.

Troubleshooting

My account list is empty. Nothing is connected yet. Add one under Accounts for that channel, or carry on planning with “No account”.

The Excel import did nothing. Check the columns match the downloaded template — Post Text, Schedule Date, Schedule Time, Active.

My posts are not on the Content Calendar. Check the channel filter at the top, and the month you are looking at.

I cannot find LinkedIn. Every channel has its own entry in the Social Campaigns menu, and the list is long. Scroll.

Common questions

How many channels are there?

Ten, each with its own Accounts and Campaigns pages.

Do I need to connect an account before I can plan?

No. “No account (link later)” lets you build the whole Campaign first.

What columns does the Excel import need?

Post Text, Schedule Date, Schedule Time and Active. Download the template and it is laid out for you.

Can I import into a Campaign that already exists?

Yes — bulk import is available on the edit page as well as when creating.

What is the Content Calendar for?

Seeing everything planned across all ten channels in one month view.

Is each channel different to use?

No. The pages are the same everywhere.

Ten social channels, and one way of working. Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Business, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and Reddit. Every one of them has the same two pages. Campaigns, and Accounts.

Add New Facebook Campaign, and give it a name. Select your account, or leave it on No account and link one later. You can plan a whole Campaign before you connect anything. Add Scheduled Post writes them one at a time, with a date and a time on each.

Or the one that saves you an afternoon. Bulk add from Excel. Download the template, fill in the post text, the schedule date and the schedule time, and upload it. A month of posts in one go.

And here is X.

The same page. Same fields, same Excel import. Learn one channel and you know all ten.

Then the Content Calendar. Everything you have planned, across every channel, on one month view. Your posts appear here as you schedule them. The buttons along the top filter it to one channel at a time.

Plan it here, and your month is done before it starts.
